![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was told that it should only take 2 hours for a truss rod adjustment to settle in, and that was by one of our luthiers. good luck nick! 3 cheers for free gear! "Do you like burned toast with your JAM? cuz we're on FIRE!" ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() the change is visible after you make the adjustment, but everything is done later, depends from woods and temperature, but sometimes this take even longer than 2 hours. And after that you need to make final adjustments with saddles etc. ![]() |

![]() ![]() | Yes, I agree with all that, but it's so weird, as if everyone is suddenly scared of adjusting their truss rods. The worst case scenarios rarely happen anyway. I remember reading all kinds of crap that you _have_ to take your guitar to a tech if the truss rod needs tweaking, which is just ![]() I only said this because I've got many friends, who have shitty playing guitars, just because they've never ever adjusted their truss rods. And only because they fear they might break their guitar. Truss rod should be the first thing you adjust if you're making a setup anyway. That's not just IMO, even the Ibanez guidebook that came with my 1527 says so. Might be that everyone knows this already, and this post is futile, but then again, you never know. |
