I'd get a used standard over a GT, personally. the stripe doesnt bug me, the "hood scoop" thing does.

I'd take a used '61 Reissue any day over the Standard. The neck on any '61-type models is incredible...arguably my favorite neck on any guitar.

i havent played a RI, just the standard and special. im comfortable with the neck on a standard - once you raise the guitar to a good level (standing), it feels great IMO.
