Sounds quite sane. They should've mentioned the cushion; guess many will ask the question of possible zero-point noises.

Another look revealed they do use pins, not rollers. Looks like graphite pins, not polymer, still not sure. though.. First time I've seen a whammy working with strings gliding over fixed points.
This is exactly what I discussed with Graphtec (very good customer support BTW), though not having my system at hand of cause they couldn't promise strings would have a perfect glide over their teflon impreganted polymer saddles.

Guess I'll make the order to see. I'm considering D'Addario HSR semi-polished wound lower strings to ease slipping over those saddles.
I mention this as it may be of interest for use with the Trem King whammy - they do mention potential string wear on the saddle pins over time..

Sounds cool, especially how you can change tunings without affecting the other strings.

it said in the video the actual string bending occurs inside the tone block, so the teflon saddle-bar thing is acting more as a softer material for the strings to bend on perhaps? That's my guess.

I'm assuming he's going to want to mass produce these rack pies, and why not? I love racks, I love pies, so put them together and you have pie covered titties. - JJ

It does indeed look awesome. They need a direct replacement for a floyd though, that be so bitchin'.

holy fuck!

Sure, the bending takes place inside, but the bended strings will glide over the pins, else no change in pitch would take place. Definately looks like graphite.
Strings gliding over fixed points have been seen many times before, but hasn't worked too good; it's the slippery graphite that does it here.

Damn, unless the Trem King pops up on production guitars, I won't have much chance trying on out here in Cph; our luthiers aren't big enough to carry uncommon stuff unless asked to take it home for a build.

Oh and he says they might be looking into Floyd retrofit designs.

does look pretty cool, and i must respect that its sanely priced. well under the kahlers, floyds, hipshots, or Stetsbar trems. i want to try the tele version, but not as badly as i want them to make it in a 7
