![]() ![]() | Chrome hardware with gold pickup pics? Hmm.. So I was gonna buy a Schecter C-1 Elite in Amber, which uses gold humbuckers.. a bonus, I found a gold covered Duncan Jazz for REALLY cheap, so I ordered that up. Anyways, I decided I wanna try out the C-1 E/A first, see how I like piezo bridge, and it would probably work better for jazz stuff. So heres my dilemnia.. I already ordered gold covered pups, but the C-1 E/A will have chrome hardware, and since its a Piezo TOM, I am not gonna attempt to change that hardware. The obvious answer is to remove the gold cover on the Jazz (how difficult would that be?) But I would obviously like to try and avoid it if possible.. Is there any pics of gold pickups in a chrome hardware'd guitar? I Havent been able to find any online anywhere.. Anyone seen one? |

![]() ![]() | Possibly. Im hoping in some odd way, gold pickups with chrome bridge will look good as it is. Its possible. But I gotta decide soon if I should order a gold plated bridge pup to match or try to hit up some chrome covers. |

buffing the gold finish off... that sounds like fun. I guess maybe it'd work.I wish the covers were like a simple removal. Then i'd pop the cover off one of my PAFs and through it on my AN. Pickup covers are totally badass "I have a koala bear infestation in my apartment. It's the cutest infestation ever. Way better than cockroaches..." | |

![]() ![]() | From last time I had covered pups, I think they were just like.. glued on.. maybe using a heat gun to heat up the glue and remove it, then glue on some chrome ones...? Its just arg 3 weeks of shipping for new pups, isnt too fun lol. |

If you remove the covers, you're likely going to have to re-pot the pickups. Probably much easier just to trade them. But if all the other hardware on the guitar were gold, the chrome bridge may not stand out all that much. This space intentionally left blank. |

![]() ![]() | maybe ill have just a gold neck pup.. and then like a chrome bridge pup. that might look interesting.. I mean, it is a amber burst finish, so around the pups will be amber, so it should mix in decently.. I dunno I guess i'll have to wait and see when I get both. I won the guitar on ebay today soo thats taken care of. |
