Who's ready for some hot maple action? (Caparison content)

Fresh from the land of the rising sun...

But which Caparison could it be?

I think that clears things up!

I can't take any outdoor pics right now since the ground is covered in snow at the moment. Hopefully that clears up soon. I got to play it through my 5150 for a couple hours this morning and it sounds pretty sweet so far. It came tuned to B which was cool, but the strings were too thin. I think it had 12-54's or something. I added another trem spring and put some 13-60's on it and it feels much better now. I'll have to see how much better it sounds with the thicker strings here in a little while. The BH-IIR seems to sound pretty good in the walnut body, but I have a PH-R on the way to try out as well. The neck feels real nice, same as a standard Horus neck. The guitar is also fairly heavy, a bit heavier than a regular Horus from what I can recall. If you look closely you can see I changed the incredibly lame black chrome volume knob to a regular black one. I have some regular black Gotoh tuners and black Schaller strap locks on the way to complete the guitar as well.

MMMMMMMM walnut!!!! That looks awesome man, bet it sounds killer! Walnut is typically a rather heavy, dense wood so it's no surprise that you guitar is fairly heavy. I had Ron chamber my Thorn (made of walnut as well ) and even then it's still probably like 7.5-8lbs!

I just tested it with the thicker strings and it sounds HUGE! Really clear and thick. Definitely enjoying the walnut body so far.
