![]() | 6 string floyd rose Hey guys. I dont use my 6 string enough and I fear it'll fade into obscurity one i get my newest 7 if i dont change something. I wanna try to tune it to B standard or something silly like that, but the floyd is giving me a hell of a time. Anybody have a suggestion of what string gauge i should use? Thanks |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | why not just learn some songs on your guitar in whatever tuning its in, or try writing some songs on it? 3 cheers for free gear! "Do you like burned toast with your JAM? cuz we're on FIRE!" ![]() |

![]() ![]() | Try tuning it in Open C (CGCGCE), that'll really open it up for you. As for guage, try 10-52 or maybe 54-56 for B standard, those should work fine I'm assuming he's going to want to mass produce these rack pies, and why not? I love racks, I love pies, so put them together and you have pie covered titties. - JJ Don't thank me, thank the wombat rapist. - Jamie Mah Deviantart Myspace The Many Faces of Egoraptor |

![]() | Sorry should have been more specific, its just a problem of tension and keeping the bridge level. I used to tune to D flat with 10's and a floyd, but that was a while ago. 10-56 may work. As for writing songs on it... i do, but i like to make changes every now and then to keep things interesting lol. |

I tuned my buddy's RG350DX to B and it needed another spring as he went from 9-46 to 10-58 in B. |
