Kleincaster Guitar
Well, this:
Lavish Guitar’s Kleincasterisn't really a standard guitar, but it's not an acoustic, a 7-string or an ERG, so I guess it goes here. Ray

looks cool for a couch-guitar, but i don't know how comfortable it'd be playing it live.
or how comfortable i'd be playing it live

Yuk.
At that point (is it really ergonomic? I mean, it's almost a full body...), better get a real Tele.

Despite the looks, I bet it has some big tone, with all that wood.

I absolutely adore Klein guitars but that's kind of ugly

It is a lot more ergonomic than a standard Tele. The Klein's that are ergonomic are the ones shaped like this. Those 80's-style shoeboxes are light, but not necessarily ergonomic.
The ergonomic aspects of this design are the reduced neck-torque (no neck-dive), forearm support, cut-out so the guitar sets nicely when playing sitting, etc. Quote:

Looks nice, but not the look only counts, sometimes players want ergomomic, easy playabilty than look.

Love Kleins but don't like the pickguard & headstock on this imitation.
Another interesting design is linked from that page: More Adrian Legg Playing His Custom Ergonomic Guitar |

Basically a headstock-based Trilogy but with only two settings per string. The fine tuners from a child's guitar are also an interesting addition. If you watch the later videos (there's more out there), it seems he had the guitar made about an inch or two too short -- He now puts a little pillow under the guitar. The Forshage guitars shown on Building the Ergonomic Guitar Blog are also something else, and the Rick Canton "prototypes" are also very interesting. That said, I wish Tim Diebert was still making guitars, I'd love to have something like that 7-string Baritone T4-s he made. Ray

that's kind of a cheeky tune. He looks quite amused with himself after playing it.Really interesting Ergonomic thread too. And yeah I totally agree about Tim - been admiring his designs for years. |

I'm not too crazy about the shape either but I bet it plays pretty nice.
