My Xiphos Duo (Pics!)

I finally got some decent pics of my Ibanez Xiphos pair. The red chameleon goes from a sort of slime green to gold to a brick sparkle red. It's really an odd color, even as far as prismatics go. The blue chameleon goes from a rich deep blue to violet to a lush forest green. I'm partial to it because the color is just gorgeous. The guitars actually do sound different with the red one being more warm and open and the blue sounding tighter and colder. The finishes on them are flawless. These are the first new Ibanez's I've bought since '92 and they were worth every penny. The cases are also nice & form fitting. The only flaw they made with these was mis-locating the strap buttons. They neck dive worse than anything, but luckily they don't weigh much and its tolerable. Now if only they'll do a 7 string version! Anyway, check out the pics. I may try to post a few more if I can and people want them.

Okay, I thought I'd gotten rid of my GAS for one of these in blue, but now I'm drooling again.

I don't know if I should envy you, thank you, or curse you.

Wow. Those are gorgeous. I really really like the green one. And you are right that we do need a 7-string version of those.

Thank God for the UNGASSING 6 strings cause to me.

The super glam sparkle doesn't do much for me, but otherwise those look great! I wouldn't doubt they'd make a 7-string version, it just might take them a while to get around to it.

Eh, I also disagree with Ka^3. There are at least a few 6-strings on my wish list. 7's are awesome as pie and bacon, but you shouldn't always have to play tuned down low, so there are plenty of 6 strings that still have their place. Then again, 7-string versions of some of those guitars (i.e. Gibby SG or SG Junior, G&L Legacy with 7-string Laces) would be pretty sweet, too...
