The trems seem fine. I haven't actually played on an Ibanez trem since the old original Edges. I guess these seem slightly less well made than the old ones though, which is to be expected. They do feel good to the hand since they're pretty streamlined. The pickups aren't spectacular but they sound good for import pups. They aren't as hot as EMGHZ's so I'd compare them more to standard pickups. I may end up putting some real EMG's or Duncans in these later. The finish is hard to photograph. If you use a flash, the sparkle really pops out. Most of the time, it looks more like a regular small flake pearl. I did get cases with these and was surprised at the quality of them too. Here's a few more pics to compare the two. The first shot is just to show the color flip on the red chameleon and you can kinda see how they change in the other pics as well.

Man, awesome pics. Those guitars are so damn sexy. But that finish still has just a bit too much sparkle for my taste :nonplease: And I agree with VEGETA about the Warrior. After all, the Warrior is already what the Xiphos is trying to be. That's why I ended up buying a Warrior instead of a Xiphos, and I believe I made the right decision ...even though I do still want a Xiphos quite bad, just in a different finish.

Yeah, its clear that the Xiphos took after the Warrior. I am a big Warrior fan and have several. The thing is, these imports are practically as nice as the USA Select Jackson stuff! If you ordered a USA CS Warrior with these options and finish, you'd be looking at 4 grand or more! I think we'll see the Xiphos in some more normal colors soon. No doubt a black one has gotta be coming.

But we all know that the Xiphos & The Warrior are just trying to be this:

haha all jokes aside though, those are absolutely stunning man.
If only Ibanez would release a 7 string Xiphos with a ZR trem..
