This RR3 looks screwed up,,,

I was looking at photos at DCGL and I saw the RR3... is it just me or do the strings seem too close to the bass side (low E) of the neck...

The low E is almost off the fretboard!

Yeah, it would seen the necks been misalligned. Supposing it's a bolt on, (I'm not too familiar with Jacksons) it's an easy fix.

Yup, the RR3 is a bolt-on.

All you'd have to do is loosen the bolts to the neck, re-allign it, and screw the bolts back in while maintaining the position of the neck. (It would also help to have someone with you.

It is a fairly simple (if nerve-wracking!) task, but this one should never have got past QC in this state, IMHO.

I had the same problem with the high E of my RG3120 and I asked my friend who is a luthier what I should do about it, and he said if its a bolt on to just tweak the neck to one side or the other depending on which way it needs to go. You don't even need to loosen the bolts to do it, just dont apply to much pressure, it really shouldn't take much anyway.

It looks to me like they just haven't photographed it straight-on.

Yea, my RG1570 is kinda like that normally. The strings look like they bend around the neck-joint so I think the neck's slightly crooked. It fucking sucks but I deal with it, although I seem to have lots of problems with tuning. Maybe it's related, maybe not.

Now, to get the strings to look the same as the RR3's:

So, not the angle of the photo, just a shitty guitar.
