I wouldn't even go so far as to call that nerve wracking. You just SLIGHTLY loosen the bolts, torque it to the side a bit, and then tighten back up. It's just wood, it's safe.

It really isn't that bad. I did it to my K7 about twenty seconds after i finsihed taking the photos of it. I suppose it depends on how familiar you are with how guitar and woods react to certain actions.

If you aren't sure at all take it to a tech though. Don't want tears before bedtime.
