![]() | Does anyone know what kind of metal Squier Strat bridges are made with? My friend has a Squier that he upgraded my putting locking tuners on/new p/u's etc. The problem is recently the bridge has bowed out and broke one of the trem studs and put a small crack in the wood because he uses 52 gauge strings tuned to standard and he also uses the bridge in floating mode. I'm guessing his knife edges are shit, yet He insists on getting a new body for it because the wood is cheap and it probably shouldn't have cracked but I'm trying to find out if getting a steel fender bridge would be the better option here because I'm certain he doesn't want to change string gauges. Do you know my name? Do you know my NUMBER? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | But, seriously... I had a Schecter strat body crack on me. It happens. Just get a new one. They're cheap and readily available. Hell, even the dude from Warmoth straight up told me, "If I were you, I would just buy a cheap strat." They're everywhere. |
