![]() ![]() ![]() | PRS vs ESP Ok Ive narrowed it down to 2 guitars. First up is the PRS ![]() second up is the ESP ![]() The PRS is about $1700.00 & the ESP is about $1400.00 I have yet to play either of these guitar but Ive never known either ESP nor PRS to have crappy guitars (thus far...) So vote for what you like better. Im totally 50/50 with both. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm just not a huge fan of PRSs, they feel meh, I like ESP's normal profile better, plus ebony is awesome and ESP's standard series has some really consistently shiny & tight grain too, they really step it up in that department. 2 things I instantly don't like about the PRS though: the shit bridge and the controls although I don't really like the LP pickup switch either, the PRS layout is just wrong though. |

For that kind of money, get yourself a Heritage instead. ![]() Made in the same factory, on the same equipment, by the same people that made all the classic Les Pauls. When Gibson shut down their original Kalamazoo plant, the workers that refused to move bought up the facilities and equipment. The only other guitar with this kind of vibe that I would buy says Hamer on it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | lol if you want a vintage LP type of style for cheap get one of those but with the selections he has listed that's kind of erroneous. If you do want one though, get an RI or Navigator, those are actually the best you can get aside from getting something done buy your best friend who happens to make guitars. |

It is obvious he is looking for that Les Paul vibe, but without the Gibson quality control headache. You wouldn't have been making this post if an ESP wasn't in the running.

Both are smaller American manufacturers that do incredible work for much less than Gibson and PRS. In all honestly, I would chose either over PRS, as they both are superior playing and sounding instruments. The only thing PRS has these days is that absolutely anal attention to detail that makes their instruments so breathtaking to behold. |

, you can make a piece of furniture which is breathtaking, doesn't make much of a guitar though ![]()
