Cheers dude
Nah,it's a three way.The mini-toggle switches the bridge pickup between Humbucking,Parrallel +Single-coil. There's a Bareknuckles Warpig in the bridge which just sounds ....in' god-like but i had a fender noiseless single-coil in the neck and it just can't compete with the BKP so i've taken it out and i'm gonna put a Duncan with a Nickel cover in there instead. It really is an insanely nice sounding guitar. I haven't really touched a 6 for ages and i can't put this thing down. It's got a real slim profile custom made neck too, which helps. ![]() Schaller satin locking-tuners,Gotoh bridge,LSR roller-nut,Ebony Board,Hovland caps and CTS Pots and all that stuff... Pimped to the Maxxxxx. |

Cheers Dude
The 'name' of that finish is Polished Aluminum. ![]() It's an aluminium fabricated body. Sounds absolutely ....ing stunning!!!!!!!(specially with the Warpig in the bridge position.Beastly!!!) I played an aluminium bodied Custom Shop Strat about 5 years ago and couldn't get over how great it sounded.Fender didn't make that many though and they were about 5 grand or something silly. I got this body made by the same guy that Fender comissioned to make theirs. I was gonna' have it painted or anodized or something but when i got it i jkust loved the look of the bare alloy so it's staying like this. |

Cool!
I knew about aluminium guitars, but not the ones by Fender. Thought it might be some wood covered with aluminium...

awesome. i'm liking the neck grain. maybe get a chrome pickup cover for the warpig (if it doesn't screw with your tone too much) to match the rest of the body.

Very nice looking guitar dude! If you don't mind me asking, what did the body cost?
The chrome Ibanez's are nickel covered wood. Last edited by metalfiend666; 02-13-2007 at 05:50 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Sort of, but not really.
The original JS-2 "Chrome Boys" were a chrome coating over basswood, but this proved to be WAY too prone to cracking as the wood expanded and contracted, so Joe got his couple, but only a handful of others made it out onto the market before production was cancelled. The JS10th had a Luthite body, a synthetic plastic-like material (evidently bright orange) with wood-like tonal properties. I've actually played one, a guitarist buddy of mine from college owns one, and whatever they did to the stuff eviidently worked, as it's a pretty good-sounding guitar. The JS2BRM or whatever the .... they call it is evidently aluminum-plated wood (Joe's guitar it's based on was nicknamed Alumiboy, and it's evidently replaced his chromes in touring rotation, after Pearly got nicked), with a coating of chrome over the aluminum. The JEM "bad horsie" chrome guitars are evidently black guitars with a mirror of sorts more-or-less "inlayed" into the top, which is more feasible for the comparitively straight-edged JEM than it is for the curvy JS. Loads of people HAVE, however, paid people to nickel-plate JS100 or 1000 bodies, to fairly good effect, however. ![]() EDIT - oh, and the guitar. While my desire to ever own a chrome guitar went the way of fingerprints, that thing is sex.

Yeah, that's kickass. I also like the teles with the strat headstocks. John 5's guitars are cool, too.
But back to your guitar, it rules. |

Very very nice man! I'm gonna have to post some pics of my custom Samick Tele, I put in a graphite nut, wired up a Duncan hot rails and a killswitch where the tone knob was. Its now sitting in the control cavity...which probably isn't good. It sounds good though, now all it needs is a good setup.
I'm assuming he's going to want to mass produce these rack pies, and why not? I love racks, I love pies, so put them together and you have pie covered titties. - JJ Don't thank me, thank the wombat rapist. - Jamie And Now, a song about Zombies.-some metalcore vocalist Yeah the axe Devries made me automatically transforms into firewood!
