Mummbles is on a distinguished road
Steel or Nylon?

I prefer the steel strings over nylon, I just prefer the sound of the steel.
Though I know who like the nylons because they don't hurt as much if you don't have caluses.

Loserchief is a jewel in the rough
it's mainly a difference of style.
I have a steel string accoustic for more folk/wstern/rock stuff and such and i have a nylon-string flamenco guitar for more classical stuff(like flamenco as the name implies)

I love both equally. Im going to get a steel string soon. The sound of a steel string is so rich and full when you play plain chords. If you like to play more classial stuff, nylon sounds and plays (its made for it ) a thousand times better.

Nylon string all the way.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

I'm definitely a nylon guy, both classical & flamenco. I have a steel string which I love the sound of, but hardly ever touch.

I certainly don't think of either as being somehow better than the other - just different colors of sound and a different feel.

nylons are great if you just want to pick around a bit, and don't want to bother anyone else. plus, they have a very smooth tone that you can't get with steel.

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

Nylon
It gives away a darker/warmer sound that fits my music.

Both...depends on both the piece and my mood.
