Belated NGD- ESP Horizon FR Mystic Black (56k cannot witness the bad pics)
First off, I would like to thank my buddy Highgain510 for this guitar. He told me he was going to sell it a while back and a few weeks ago I finally went up to the D.C. area to get it. Well worth the 2.5 hour drive
. I finally got a chance to take some pics after I got it back from the shop today to get set up with a 11-52 set. In Short, this is probably my favorite guitar I own right now. Plays like no other and the tone is godly. I never thought I would bond with the ash body, but it has become my personal favorite tone wood. I have a volcano red Horizon FR on reserve from a local dealer, and I might reserve the second volcano red they have as well as a few more ESP Standard Series guitars, maybe a CS model or two. These new ESPs are just that damn good. They could hold their own against many of the PRSi, Vigiers and Suhrs I have played. Anyway onto the pics (My dog wanted to help in a few of them) Please pardon my poor photography skills, my camera is cheap and my house has poor lighting. The finish looks much better in person, and is more of a black and silver finish- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Church, Get this guitar off of my couch" ![]() ![]() A pic with the two other guitars I will never sell.

Thanks a lot for the kind words!
The EMGs sound great in this guitar. I love the 85 in the neck, it has a very clear tone to it but sounds "Full" if that makes any sense. The 81 in the bridge sounds ok, but sounds too sterile for me. I am contemplating swapping out the 81 for an 85. The next one I get might install a dual set of 85xs in it. love the guitar! the finish...ehh. It kinda looks like someone put flour on their hands and touched the guitar a bunch. Maybe it's the lighting but it's not bad!

That guitar rivals the ESP H-III CS I have, no joke. I'm glad you finally took it Kev, as you know I went back and forth on whether or not to sell 3-4 times and the HVAC going finally forced it. Definitely one of the very best ESPs I have owned, but beyond just within the brand it is one of the better guitars I have owned period.
Hope you play the crap out of that, she's a special one and one of the few guitars that I offer the "if you want to sell when I have cash in the future, I'll gladly buy that back!" deal on. Thanks for the smooth deal too bro, hope you stockpile more sweet ESPs too!
