NGD! Hellraiser Extreme

After months of waiting, it's here. This is unlike any regular Schecter that's ever been on the market apart from the USA stuff. Head and shoulders above anything else in the Diamond Series. Blows my old Horizon NT-II's out of the water. The thing sounds absolutely massive and plays like butter. On to the pics.

AWESOME! Looks great! Definitely NOT purple hued. Congrats. Hopefully that means mine will be ready soon! Cannot wait to get it! How is the neck on that beast? I am anxious to compare it to my SLS, as well as the body thickness. I cannot put my SLS down. Best playing guitar I have owned. So nice to see Schecter stepping up their quality and making some guitars on par with some ESP Standards (my opinion). Up to this point, I compared most of their line to LTD 500's and 1000's. The SLS is much nicer than my old MH-1000, and I loved that guitar.

Everything about this is awesome. The neck is chunky yet fast, it plays like butter and it sounds HUGE. It's everything the NT-II should be. I've had several ESP's, two of them Horizons, and this Schecter knocks them all out of the park. I never in a million years thought I'd say that about a Korean Schecter, but it rules. You're going to love yours. Far exceeds the hype.

As a general rule, I'm not a Schecter fan at all. They tend to use a ton of poly with their finishes and to me it makes the guitars feel like plastic and doesn't allow it to resonate. I've also had a slew of PRS's, Gibsons, ESP's, Caparisons, Jacksons, Ibanez Prestige etc etc so there was never really anything in the Schecter line (apart from the USA stuff) and interested me. Not that I'm a snob, I'd just rather spend the same money on an Ibby Prestige as opposed to a Schecter as I think you're getting an infinitely better guitar.

However

Schecter has really upped their game. The SLS line is great, and the new Hellraiser Extreme is just awesome. It's made in the same factory that the Ibanez Prestige SZ's were made in....so no worries on the quality. It has a thin satin finish, great hardware, and just plays like butter. I never thought I'd be this excited about a Schecter, but it's really that good.

it's fair to get good reviews when you work the right way,as it's fair to get complains when your products aren't great anymore (it seemed to me that schecter's quality decreased in 2010-2011,compared to the past).If they are undestanding the lesson,than it's a great plus to me

And this is mainly why I'm so excited about this guitar. Schecter upped their game big time...attacking their competitors with on par or superior products at 2/3 the price. I won't sugar coat it, I was never really very impressed with their guitars, and this one has completely changed my opinion of them. Well done Schecter.

now they just have to make MOAR! Back in the day schecter put tons of finishes on their models (the classic,for example,was blue,natural blonde,amberburst,antique,green,and ALL the colors were fantastic),I hope this line will be extended with a huge variety of finishes,but also features and all.

Btw what's the letter before the serial number ??

I love that they've made these with satin finish instead of the gloss from the regular Hellraisers. Feels a lot better and looks good too!
