Know: Jackson USA SLS
Hey there.
I just want to know what a Jackson USA Select Series SLS is worth. It's equipped with Bareknuckle Painkillers and has got a beautiful amber (?) burst. It's in good condition. High gloss natural finish all around, with two small chips in the lacquer on the back (small chips). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The BKPs are covered in black nickel, with screws, which aren't installed yet. |

OK, which one is it?
There's the original SLS (22 frets, binding with no inlays, made in the late '90s), there's the 24.75" scale one with the block inlays from the late '00s, and there was a 25.5" scale version of the "current" SLS3, just USA-made. All 3 are pretty rare, with the USA version with the 25.5" scale and TOM being the rarest - I've seen ONE. The 24.75" block marker version has a Wilkinson flat-mount bridge. The "original" SLS from the '90s has a TOM. Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on Facebook, and Soundclick might eventually be updated, too.

Here is mine '98 USA Jackson SLS Blue Flame (Transparent Blue - TBL).
All mahogany, neckthrough, 25.5" scale, 22 frets, rosewood fingerboard, TOM with stoptail. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's a scan from '98 Jackson catalog:

^Those have been going for the $1100 range on eBay. At least the one's I've seen.

I love the SLS shape, but wish it had more of a forearm contour. The USA ones fetch a pretty high price on evilbay. Not a fan of the SLS headstock on 6s, but on 7s I think it looks fantastic.

No, that is indeed a Tunomatic.
I would love a USA version of the SLS3 in production at the moment, I've never seen one though, only the slightly weird shape SLS's, which I do still like. The older shape is a little bit like the Mayones Regius shape. Formerly known as Fun111, don't be thrown off by the avatar!!!!!! My Soundcloud My project on Facebook: Rook |

Ain't never seen a Tuneomatic like that. Please note, I'm not talking about the blue one, I'm talking about the one in the original post.

guitar looks great. Music Zoo had a couple brand new ones that they had somehow held onto forever .. I think they cleared them out at $2,200 in the end. You could also get a custom shop replica of Joseph Duplantier's SLS except with dots instead of blocks for <$2,500.
considering rarity and all that.. $1,500 is what I'd pay, altho I'd want a different color. maybe an extra $150 because of the BKPs a floyd would ruin it completely "Ah, she's built like a steakhouse but she handles like a bistro" - ZB Soundcloud - New clip April 19 |

That's a matter of personal preference. My SLS has a floyd. It's also an India-made cheapie
