It's great that you don't need to spend $10k anymore to get that finish!

tung-oiled neck. Delicious.

Some favorites: Caparison Angelus HGS/Customs, Mayones Regius', Dingwall ABZ, Blackmachine B6/B2 and a Carvin CT6. My own little favorite slice of heaven.

That is beautiful. I bought my CT6 right before they started offering 24 frets, but that finish is making me want to use that as an excuse to get another one

Sweet! The IDEA of that finish is a bit off-putting, but it works somehow. One more reason to regret the fact that I'm selling a bunch of Carvins.

"Grondar, untie Mr. Paslo."

"But he's told us nothing!"

"There's a customer!"

the finish is a mixture of PRS's 'blue fade' and 'beach fade':

i still like PRS's 'beach fade' the best. such a unique way to dye the guitar

it is really distasteful that someone would ask Carvin to copy PRS's finish design or something.

Hardly, Carvin makes beautiful instruments for a reasonable price; that PRS would go for what, over 6k? That Carvin couldn't be over 2k.

Thats like saying the first guy that stained a guitar red should be the only one to ever beable to stain a guitar red.

I doubt PRS is the first company to think of dying something in a fading fashion, and its not in the least propritairy. Its color for petes sake.

If you don't like it, then don't buy it. And why would you state that like it's a fact? All you do is whine and complain. You're not some expert on what is and is not distasteful. You're just a crybaby.

it would be...if PRS had the colors copy righted. for example, Mcdonalds has that shade of red copy righted (if my sources are correct). so you can do whatever you want, so long as you dont use that red of theres, you're good.

i dont know. last time someone did a similar fade (different colors) it was an upcharge of 500 dollars. carvin i think caps their finishes at 500 regardless of how crazy they are (obviously no hand painted master pieces). so with that in mind, i think the total may come to about 2300ish give or take.

this was the first carvin to attempt the multi color fade...i cant say i like it though
