NGD (Tele Content)

Hey guys, after waiting a few years to finally pull the trigger, I got a Tele! It's a Fender Lite Ash Telecaster... PICS NOAWWWWWW!!!!!!!

good camera work, see my feet...

Dat bird's eye!

Dat abalone inlays!

Dat reflectionzorz!!!!

Brass saddles, giddy up!

dat ass

Black is boring... My plan is to get Ben to swirl and give it more character. I'm not sure about keeping the pickups, I definitely need more play time with it. I'm not too fond of the .009s on it, I might switch .010s, which I'm used to. Loving the fretboard and inlays. Tons of character. This will be my Twang machine!

Give it character by beating the shit out of it! Nothing like a Strat or Tele with some miles on it... Both of mine look like that haha. Can't beat a good Telecaster though man. Congrats!

Very nice. Love that neck.

But PLEASE do NOT swirl that classy ass Tele.

Kamikaze7 I for one value my guitars and gear like people value their kids - ....ing with my guitars or gear is equal to me molesting your kids - you just don't do it if you value your life...

Whiskey_Funeral For that much money I'd just put myself through Luther School and build the damn thing myself.

MaxOfMetal I just love guitars. It doesn't matter how many strings, frets, pickups, or wood used I just dig the .... out of them all.

Great looking tele, would be a shame if it was swirled.

Delicious fretboard. That finish should be white with a black pickguard.

+1 on the DO NOT swirl. If anytbhing it would look great to sand it down and give it a natural finish but i still say don't touch it!

Love it though! how much does the lit ash take away the weight? My ash tele weighs more than any old les paul i've ever played. It sucks, it's the only reason i don't play it out.

Those Korean made Lite Ash Tele's were great guitars. I agree, please do not swirl it. I likes swirls as much as the next guy but not on that guitar. I would do a white pickguard. In fact I have one that you can have if you want it. Also I recommend swapping the three way switch with the Fender 4 way mod switch. It's one of the best tele mods you can do and is cheap.

Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro pickups? Those sound good overdriven, my friend had one of those.

I second the 4 way switch mod.

+1 on the not swirl. Black on Maple is classier then a Vai strat.
If you're gonna swirl a Tele, get a beater Squier or a used MiM Fender.

As for pickups, I'm a fan of the DiMarzio Chopper T.

I understand you guys wanting this to stay classy but I'm still going to try out the swirl. Probably sky blue and yellow with a white/opaque pick guard. If I don't like it I can always go back to black or do a natural finish. I really want to look into that 4 way mod! Sounds interesting. I want to give these pickups a fair chance before considering switching them. I want dat twang to be strong!

Congrats and...another vote for "DON'T SWIRL!"

I'm currently building a Partscaster myself.

Add a red tortoise shell pickguard. Then it will have more character.

Usually on my black guitars, I try to add like inlay stickers or stuff like that. Do NOT for the love of God abd flying spaghetti monsters do that to your telecaster

Certainly not an android
