NGD: my first build :)

as some of you may know i am doing a luthiery course this year and i am loving it. i recently finished my first guitar- a tele style guitar just a warning, i have a shit camera and it was my first build, so is a bit rough around the edges.
specs are as follows:
-kaorie pine body
-quartersawn maple/rosewood/quartersawn maple neck
- carbon fibre rod (no truss rod_
-rosewood fretboard with 21 frets
-the cheapest pickups we could get.
-the cheapest bridge i have ever seen.

all in all i am very happy with my first build, the neck is nice a think and gets some nice twang
onto the pictures!

i hope you enjoyed my thread

"Rough around the edges?" Where? It looks great to me, & this definitely is not my style of axe. I grade you an A+.

Problem you have now is beating that effort, best of luck.

The bloodline is strong in this one

Sweet looking tele. Loving the edges and that green. Nice contour, too.
Loving that stripe as well! Hey, if it plays well you should replace those pickups and rock it out!

That back cap on the headstock is something I don't think I've seen before. Does anyone else do that? Not that this needs validation... Just curious.

i have not seen it before, but im sure someone out there would do it. the rosewood on the back of the headstock actually started as a mistake, and i bandsawed the headstock too thin and i needed to add 2-3mm to it so that the tuners would fit properly. i am happy with how it turned out though

I've seen it a couple of times on PG, couple of Viks, and on another build here. Not too common, but certainly a really nice touch.

I've been dying to see an 8 string acoustic. Do they make strings large enough for that? Drop E would sound so pretty for chording on an acoustic.
