ESP eclipse confusion
Okay, I'm in the midst of getting a new guitar, an ESP eclipse (surprise).
The salesman got 2 of them up, one being an european II-model, while the other is an I CTM-model. Both of them is with 4 knobs like a Gibson LP. He also sells them for the same price, albeit with pickups modified. Is there any difference on the models that's noticeable, other than fretboard? (One's rosewood, other is ebony). I'm not really an ESP expert but seems like the choice is already made. Ebony all the way
Acacia on order. Carvin on da way.

hmm if they have 4 knobs then both are Eclipse I? Eclipse II with 3 knobs is for the US market so they try to make them a bit more different to Gibson LP. I don't know of a II with 4 knobs...
The CTM may have full thickness body if it's a "CTM FT" model. Other than that I think the specs are the same. Electric Sound Products -ESP Eclipse I CTM FT w/ BKP Rebel Yells -ESP M-II w/ D-sonic/Air Norton -Jackson RR3 w/ EMG81/60 -Schecter C1 Hellraiser |

There is II-models with 4 knobs.
And he didn't state FT on the CTM, so I guess it's standard Eclipse-shape. And @MetalKennedy: That's a rather hasty statement. Rosewood fretboards are decent and got a warmer sound than ebony. I prefer warm, snappy tones, so it's a choice between pepsi and cola, really. Check the specs on the webpage
Electric Sound Products The EMG equipped european II's seems to have 2x 81 instead of 81 & 60. |

^Why on earth can't the western website be put up like that? That's a cringe.
Also, the seller also stated he's selling with 81/85, but whatevs. I'm also more interested if there are any actual spec difference, like thicknesses, neck radii etc. But other than that, I think I've made up my mind pretty much.

If its the one on DBA he also states that you can get it with with 2x 81, so he probably switched it. |

It's exactly that to 7000,- dkk. I'm leaning heavily towards the quilted one right now, and I thought the same; he had either modded it or ordered it like that (IIRC that's possible with ESP to order small tweaks on their instruments).
And isn't the west "defined" as Northern America along with everything west of the Ural mountains? ![]() Oh well.
