NJP6D
I had a loaded JP7 I got from Amazon when they were listed for stupid prices, but sold it like a dumbass. After a bad experience with a "Premium" Ibanez I started longing for a no-compromise high quality shred machine and another JP seemed like just the right choice. Somehow I managed to get pretty much the exact same deal I got last time.
The JP6 is every bit as awesome as the JP7 was. I don't think the figuring on either of the neck's I've had has been too crazy, but this one has some flamey-ness to it. it has the newer trem which I thought was kind of ugly at first, but it's not a big deal. I remember thinking the JP7 was a bit sterile sounding, but I'm loving the tone from the JP6. It really sounds incredible. Okay, picture time! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Absolutley stunning guitar. You've learned your lesson so hold onto that one!!!
These are probably the best guitars I have ever played over the 20 years I have been playing the guitar. Everything about them is pure design and build quality. I still can't get over the feel and playability of my JP6. I will take that guitar to the grave!! THE best neck ever made in my opinion. And I got really lucky with the birdseye maple figuring I got on the neck...it is simply stunning. All hail Ernie Ball!!!

I hope some day I will actually get to see (and play) one of those in real life, not just on this forum... Happy NGD! That finish is awesome. Certainly seems like there isn't a bad colour for those guitars (except for silver, when Jon played the silver 7 string in the Live at Budokan DVD... not for me).
