Wink NGD RG550 content!

For my birthday today I travelled to pick up this gem:

92 RG550 with PAF Pro and Dimarzio Fred

Well, I sold my Jackson DK2M a day earlier then bought this. I have to say it blows it out of the water and despite its age it plays flawlessly - paid less than what I sold my Jackson for too!

It's my first Ibanez and I have definitely been converted!

EDIT: holy moley sorry for the ....-massive pics

Nice guitar. That ones got just the right amount of wear and tear on it. It is enough to lower the price, but it still looks good.

Are you sure that's a 92'? Didn't they have matching headstocks and Lo-Pros by then?

Yours is identical (except for the pickups) to my old 89'.

HOT DAMN, that is sexy. One of my friends has two 20th Anniversary Reissue RG550's, and they're extremely nice. That neck is just insanely thin.

And happy birthday!

That was a typo sorry, seller sad it was a 91. I have no idea myself what age it is.

I was going to go for a more powerful pickup in the bridge, but after jamming yesterday the I think Fred does just fine.

That's sensational for a first Ibanez, nice work. I still remember the feel of the trem. Same as the RG560CO I had, I still miss that trem. Would be interested to see how much of the crap you can get off the maple board, if you're so inclined. I bet a fair bunch of it would lift right off with the proper care.

you as an Ibby man. I got a shock when I read it was your first.
