You mind if I slip in a "told you so" on that green? :P Looks great, and its making me gas for one now.
Green and purple always look good, but it might become the joker guitar. Another option is just go crazy with the colours: Ibanez S thread

I have definitely thought about Fr00ting it up. It's going to get a neon pink Dimarzio cliplock strap for sure. Other than that, I'm undecided

Now you have to give it pink boobins, strat knobs and switch tip.

Hey man, looks good. I'm picking up up a DY one in the next few days. Just interested to see if you had to test a few out before you found one with decent fretwork? Did they all have decent fretwork or is this is the first and only one you tried out?

Bought one yesterday, in yellow. Very satisfied with the quality and look, for sure. <3 There was only one shop within an hour and a half distance from me that had any, and they only had yellow and green S1XXVs, none of the RGs. Both guitars they had there didn't seem to have any noticeable paint defects like some have said they've notice and boths necks and fretwork were fantastic. The yellow one was definitely set up better in factory (or shop, not sure if they do anything to them after they get them there or not) and was the one I had my eye on anyways, so I impulse bought it.

Almost everyone who works at that shop is extremely jazz rooted, including the lessons they have and all, and I could see some of them visually thinking 'he's actually getting that?' hahaha.

I bought mine from rich at Ibanezrules, These aren't available in Australia as far as I know. The fretwork is fine though

Congrats polythoral! welcome to the family!

They're definitely available in Australia, as they're available through most Ibanez dealers. I'll have one in a couple of days, already been ordered. Just wanted to be prepared when it arrives in store and I can test it out. Looking forward to having one of these.

Thanks for the heads up dude, how much is yours costing?
The only reason I wasn't sure is because when I ordered my RG1XXV from the Ibanez rep for VIC, they had no news (hadn't even heard) of there being an S1XXV yet, this was in early January though.

I'd put that lack of knowledge down to all Australian distributors having their thumbs up their asses. So many distributors are just in it for the money, they don't ever keep up with new products, NAMM/Music Messe announcements. These have a retail price in Aus of AU$995 - $999, but I scored mine for AU$790. I know it's a straight Indo model, and as such I understand why there have been issues with some of these, and even the premium indo RG's. Those issues, combined with the relatively low new price within Australia, are the reason I chose to buy from a store. If go to check it out and there are issues, I don't have to worry about returns or shipping, I'll just walk out of the store without the guitar.

Definitely agree with you there.
I got mine from rich at ibanezrules.com for ~$800AUD including an Ibanez HSC and insured express shipping.

Really happy with mine, plays well, frets are good, no flaws that I've found yet

Good news. I've already got an M100C too, which is handy. Congrats on the S, btw. Looks great.
