Crisis of Faith
*sigh*
I got my new Ibby Prestige Sabre sixxer today (pictures here too). I'm in serious trouble here. This guitar is amazing. Not only am I tempted to keep this guitar, it's also pushing me farther and farther into sixxer territory. Now, this guitar's auction description mentioned dents and dings, so I was expecting some damage. The actual damage is a bit worse than I suspected, but I don't blame the seller. He was upfront that there was damage. What I don't get is why. Why is there this much damage to the finish? The trem has NO pitting, and this thing plays like a fucking dream. It's like the original owner bought it to use as a hammer. The best part is that when I plug this guitar in, I don't even remember that there are blemishes at all. I bought this guitar to resell it, and I will follow my plan. But it won't be cheap. Does anyone know what tips or tricks I can use to make some repairs to the finish? |

I remember Elysian talking about using krazy glue for minor blemish repairs.

![]() btw... sweet guitar! Send it on over. I'll fix it up. Of course, it might take a few years to fix it properly. ![]() |

I remember trying a Sabre once, it was as if I placed my hand into a cow's arse...oh so very smooth and buttery!

Sweet guitar Ken. Since it has scratches and dings in it I'll trade you my almost mint condition Ibanez RX 140 for it. It's black so it's totally metal.

Why not strip it to the bare wood and refinish with some Birchwood-Casey Tru-Oil?
