Depends on what kind of amp, of course. Maybe a Crate would do it.

Remember, it's a Gibson. $4k makes it actually pretty damned affordable for new technology from them.

You can get a Godin LGXT for a lot less, and it is a killer-playing guitar that has a built-in Roland MIDI pickup, as well as regular and piezo outputs. You can do all kinds of cool stuff with that by incorporating various synthesizers or software. Sounds a lot more versatile than what this Gibson does--this sounds more like the Variax, to me.

I agree with you friend. Nothing compares with an ATD UVMC. In fact there is no chance to get a new custom atd swirl because of Darrens lost...
