NGD: Custom modded tele djent machine!

today is the day that i finally finished my partscaster! started ordering parts for this over 6 months ago. took me ages to find a body and take the plunge. i ended up scoring two genuine fender bodies off ebay for $100 each and decided to hack out the bridge pickup cavity instead of ordering a custom warmoth on for $600. so i ended up making TWO telecasters. the neck for the other one is still on its way! it's going to be this ones twin brother: vintage white, rosewood fretboard, all black hardware and a distressed BKP warpig.

Specs on this black one:
Alder telecaster body
custom pickgaurd w/no neck pickup
bareknuckle aftermath bridge pickup
gotoh telecaster bridge
schaller locking tuners
custom control plate with only one volume pot
all switchcraft electronics
custom(makeshift) string trees - used parts from a set of dimarzio clip lock straps aha

i just finished setting her up and she plays and sounds like a friggen machine! so so SO stoked with how this has turned out! couple of pics below.

this project was all completed for about $400 too! definitely worth it.

Man, that is sinister !!!

Kamikaze7 I for one value my guitars and gear like people value their kids - ....ing with my guitars or gear is equal to me molesting your kids - you just don't do it if you value your life...

Whiskey_Funeral For that much money I'd just put myself through Luther School and build the damn thing myself.

MaxOfMetal I just love guitars. It doesn't matter how many strings, frets, pickups, or wood used I just dig the .... out of them all.

Aww yeah! I'm far from excited about the whole djent thing, but that is one Tele I'd gladly rock! And you got it done on only a shoestring budget! Congrats.

Leave no stone unturned until I'm done.

Now that's my kind of guitar - sexy, personal, unique, and cost-effective. The position of the lowest bridge saddle looks way forward to me. I'm used to my lowest string intonating way back toward the bridge in comparison with the other strings. Any reason why it's that way (string gauges)?

in all honesty - the guitar is pretty much intonated. still needs a bit of work cause it's still setting and stuff but yeha, i found it weird myself!

also got the blank control plate off of www.guitarfetish.com, you've gotta drill your own hole!

The contrast of the maple with the blacked out body is amazing.

I like the way the control plate looks with just the one volume... I don't know why, but it just strikes me as a badass look.
