Ibanez Jem 10th anniversary

Just bought!
Some minor issue:pick up needs to be chromated,some screws have rust to clean off, 1small ding and 1scratch to polish...worst thing no original certificate, I need to search for ths first owner to ask. mine is number 243, not scalloped.
Mother of pearl inlay and binding is incredible. This thing weights a ton, quartersaw neck absolutely amazing.

First of all my Italian phone failed to write Ibanez...can a mod correct the title?:-)
I'm trying to upload pictures but for sons reason I always fail...maybe they are too big, no way I can reduce them now....;-)

Congrats! Definitely the best jem ever built in my opinion, well that and the blue floral pattern, so gorgeous

That is SUCH a beautiful guitar. That pickguard is one of the most beautiful and classy things I've ever seen. Coupled with the abalone binding and that headstock... It's awesome.

I think it plays well but all my equipment is in florence while now i am in padua.tomorrow I
will give her proper cleaning and a quick try yhen she goes directly into a beauty farm

Well, I found an old amp I thought sold....just plugged in, guitar sounds great.never had a ebony fretboard, is it me or it is more responsive than rosewood? Olsoo frets are not the same I'm used...evolution pu Ms better here than in my other ibby, they sound somehow warmer...that is all for now, I need my podxt for some sonic madness:-)

Rust and ding/scratch can be easily(!) fixed, while chrome is really hard to do...sending them back to DiMarzio is out of question, and buying new one, without the DiMarzio logo on, is useless, so I have to think a third way...
Any suggestion?

I've just let mine wear. Like you said, there's no easy way around this so it's either buy a new set without the logo or live with them as they are.

Once all the chrome has gone off mine I'll probably pop a set of black Evo's in there as the prototype JEM10 had black pickups and it does look very cool that way.

Best Jem ever! Love the rarity of ebony fretboards on Jems.

My favorite Ibanez along with the John Petrucci 90th Anniversary.
