NGD - evil V inside

Had some extra cash after I got my car back from the body shop from a rear ender last month... ....en aye, this thing is brutal.

Came with an EMG HZ instead of the 81 but hell I'm not complaining at the price I got it for (thank you used GC!). I'm not sure if this is a Floyd Special or Original but it's definitely sufficient for some whoop whoop. I set it up with Dunlop Heavy Core 11-50 gauge in Eb

Oh and yes. This is the Pat O'brien Cannibal Corpse sig

I think more of us are goint to be focused on your stache rather then the guitar. Anyways happy NGD! How does she play? I know this is gonna sound corny but does she have the signature guitar feel? For me signature guitars are hit or miss.

When all else fails add another string.

Congrats, those are nice! Almost got one myself, but I seem to have completely gravitated towards Kahlers in the last couple of years or so, so I went for the KKV signature.

Leave no stone unturned until I'm done.

Thanks everybody! this guitar is ....ing fun to play so much so that I need to wipe the pick dust from under the strings now because I've been playing it just about every day.

thanks! the neck shape is a nice C shape. Wider radius than my Schecter Omen but nothing too thick; def not like a baseball bat or anything, solid but comfy

Lol, she plays very nicely. The fretboard feels very smooth, flatter at the headstock and slowly curves slightly as you move up the frets. Not sure if I understand the sig feel thing, but while it feels like I am playing Pat's guitar, which feels really bad ass, it's something simple and striking that could be anybody's thing. Like, this guitar gives me mojo when I play it. I would love to rock this on stage. It's very metal the way I wanted it

The upper fret access isn't too bad actually. I play it kind of high, but I'm not a chest rocker. If you play the guitar way low and need to shred above the 22nd fret you probably should consider bringing up the strap a bit IMO. I think it's very doable; you should try a Jr V in a store if you can!

You know I was skeptical about it because I've never owned a V before but now that I've gotten a few days to get the strap positioning just right (and I bought a practice foot stool) playing this guitar sitting down or standing is a joy. It is ever so slightly neck heavy but I think if I buy a nice thick leather strap it would be perfect. I mean, that's what Pat rocks with his

Thanks man! I think it suits me too. I feel compelled to slay something or someone with riffage when I put this ....er on.

Also styling the stache that way actually was kind of a bitch; couldn't have done it w/o my Clubman's Moustache Wax

Haha thanks man. That commercial is some of my inspiration

But I know what you mean though about the tuning. I figured I should master some older classic Corpse songs before I move onto the modern brutal stuff. Believe me, I want to be playing Unleashing the Bloodthirsty or Priests of Sodom or something pretty bad when I pick up this guitar I think I'm gonna try 13-60 gauge Dunlop Heavy core (from the 7 string set) next string change.

I thought those came with 81's instead of an HZ?

Also love the paint on the back of the neck!

I was thinking of picking one up but I really dislike the Jr. V body shape... Would rather get that but a Speed V shape.
