NGD - EBMM JPXI 6

Yay.

Now, there are only a few more days left until I'm in the possession of this shredding hazard.

Ordered it from Sound Beach Music Store in Long Island NY.

I hope there won't be any trouble with the quality considering this is a ball family reserve.

A few stories on the board have really shaken up my confidence on receiving a flawless six-string. Especially in this price category, it'd be not acceptable.

Awesome guitar, if they made a baritone JPXI I'd have serious stimulation issues.

Congrats.

Yeah, I concur Nothing to be seen on the pictures and hopefully nothing by the arrival since I usually inspected my gear to the bone when I get it.

Yeah ,bummer you can only lay your hands on the previous (JP6) baritone model. Dunno if they even manufacture this one anymore.

I think they do.

Even so, I do kinda want a JPXI, but I'd have to change the pickups, I already have a CL/LF set in my JPX.

what do you think of the 20" radius? trying to decide on this model or a BFR.

I actually preferred the JPX over the JPXI.

Both are amazing guitars and by the way, this one is a BFR too

Then you'd be talking about the JP6 BFR.

This one is pretty much a JPXI BFR whereby there is no standard JPXI, just a Ball Family Reserve.

The 20" radius is def nothing bad. It always comes down to what you prefer.

If you don't have the opportunity to try one out first hand, I'd still recommend it.

One thing I can def second for is that both the JPX and JPXI are better than all the BFR JP6 models.

Thanks guys

The tone is just amazin. Compared to the JP 6 BFRs and particularly regular JPs, this thing has so much tone and depth!

For one thing you can beautifully shred the shit out of it, for another thing it has so much warmth, depth and acoustics, just indescribable

Even in contrast to the regular BFRs, that thing is stands out without a single doubt.

With the mahagony tone block and neck transition, I had to sort out the neck right away. The temperature had an easy job to mess up the neck's angle on the journey to my doorstep Talking about a really close relationship between strings and fretboard. ^^ Could've been easily sexual harassment!

However, it was purely worth it. Also, people fearing a lack of definition due to the mahagony tone block and neck, don't worry, the beautiful ebony fretboard and ss frets support its brightness really well. This was also why I would choose the JPX and JPXI over any regular BFR model. Haven't seen such specks and quality for such a stellar price.

Also, people who are experiencing those quality issues, I really feel for y'all. If that had happened to me, I would've probably booked a ticked to spread couple of proper smacks amongst the crew

No but seriously, mine is flawless and perfect on every angle. Couldn't be happier. Guessing this has to do with a later manufacturing date from July 2011.
