Would you use a baritone for drop C tuning if you had one?

would you use a baritone for drop C tuning if you had one? or do you think it's completely not needed. i play a baritone for my 7 tuned to GCGCFAD and the drop C there feels good ... might be buying a 6 string and wondering if i should bother with a baritone for tuning drop C.

maybe more appropriate for tuning below that?

i use my viper in drop C...it's a 24 3/4 scale and i use .46 guage strings.

I'm sure i could go up to a 50 or 52 and it'd be a little chunkier...but i think a Baritone for C is not necessary.

For drop C i would use a 25,5" Scale and 52-12 strings (maybe 54 or 56). For me a bariton would be too much on drop C, but i never tested it so i can only guess .

I use 25.5"-scale with 10-52s for drop-C.

I used to play in drop B on a 24.75" Gibson Les Paul with a set of 11-52 gauge strings. I never had any problem with it. Drop C is very easily manageable on a 24.75" or 25.5" inch scale. A baritone is not necessary at all. If you want one, get one, but it's not necessary.

If I had a baritone, I wouldn't use drop C. I'd probably go lower. Drop A, maybe... (assuming it's 28" scale or so).

I've got my V-250 in drop-C with 12-56 and it works great.

My Steinberger is tuned to drop C or B at all times and I use 11-52s. The scale length is standard, 25.5", and it feels great.

I had a Jackson DK27, 27" scale loaded with Dimebucker and '59 pickups. I used 13-56 strings, very solid guitar I tuned anywhere from Db - Ab

yeah, i agree on "needing" it ... you could do w/o ... my old RG was 25.5 and it took it perfectly. that said, i do liek the feel of the bottom 6 on my 27" tuned to drop C ... so i'd probably get another baritone just to keep things uniform.
