Yay my project is under way

Well I decided today that I deserved a break from two periods of Math at the end of a friday and decided that I would go into the wood work rooms with some mates and sand down an old body I have. It's an old Stagg guitar, the picture makes it look quite nice, which it is but it's not my thing

Start pic:

here's a pic of it after an hour and a bt of sanding (I've done most of the back too)

Here aresome mock ups of what I want to do, but I think I'll go white 'cause it's easier and I don't think I could do the green and black.

Here's the white mock up

What do ya thinky?

Mark

I'd go for white but the green looks sick too.

Looks like things are going swimmingily. I'd go for the green myself, but the white looks sweet too.

RIP MIKE

Are you going to match the headstock the same color as the body?

Give the green a go first dude. It's only a cheap project guitar, and you can always sand it down and redo it white if you fuck it up. It's not like it's a $1000 with a figured top is it.

The Fluro green looks sick man!

I'm confused though, are you going for EMG's?

I'm not going to match the headstock, I prefer it black.

I'm going to go for EMG's maybe, but passive ones because I wanna try what Alexi does with the boost.

Do you guys know how I get that really glossy finish? The thing I'm worried about with the green is it might be a flat finish, but with white I won't really have to worry about it.

alexi doesn't really have that great of tone... and the glossy finish is just achieved by clearing over it, and when its dried for at least a week(i'd give it 2), you sand it to 1000 grit and buff it out

Well that's up to his Preamp too ya know, and it's subective so I dunno where you're going with that.

But anyway, your finishes are fucking insane so how did you get such a high gloss?
