No no, they're actives - they're the bizarre Ibby stock ones that use 2 AAs instead of a 9v. Decided that I'm definitely going to replace them with some BKPs, though - probably Cold Sweats, and hopefully some time after Easter.

Nice. I love natural finished guitars and deffinetly favor mahogany over basswood.

1 of my ibanez's is an 04 sz320 in the natural mahogany finish. The wood is absolutely beautiful. If you look reall close on mine the body is 3 pieces as well but with an thick archtop layer on top. I also love the older sz necks when they were still 3 piece. Only thing that sucks on mine is the cheap hardware like plastic chrome pickup rings ect, other than that I love it and will never get rid of it. I'll post some picks if anyone wants?

It looks like that neck isn't parallel to the body, causing your action to be higher than it should be. Maybe a shim at the neck joint could solve it?

I hadn't noticed that, but looking at the guitar itself, it looks that way because of the carved top, which curves down at the top of the neck pocket. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
