Schecter Solo-6 Hellraiser

Has anyone played one of these yet? I just tried to play one at my local Guitar Center, but the strings were so old, dead and had so much crap on them that they wouldn't stay in tune more than 10 seconds if that. I understand that they have a lot of guitars, but come on. the neck felt amazing, though. 24 fret singlecut with easy access to all of them. I couldn't believe it was made in Indonesia either. It felt way higher quality than any Korean or Japanese guitar I've ever owned.

side note: I don't see how anyone can complain about how big the C-7 Hellraiser necks are. Maybe my hands are just that gigantic.

Made in Indonesia? I thought all Hellraisers were made in Korea, at least mine is. And they are sweet guitars, definitely a competitor to the EC-1000.

I've got a hellraiser from a few years back and it's a great guitar. Not played anything nearly as good in its price range.

people on this board always exaggerate the size of schecter necks.

While Schecter I've not played a bad Schecter, dollar for dollar, Agile is a better value. Schecter is still an incredible value if you consider the other mass produced companies out there.

An agile ALK3 may not have the cutaway and shit that the Solo6 has, but it's still got it blasted to hell and pack with price/performance ratio. That said I like the gold top solo6 with the p90's.

I owned a C1 Hellraiser & thought highly of it. Nice looking guitar W/EMGs. Neck was very straight.Great sustain. Mine was made in Korea. If it looks like a LTD 1000 maybe it's because ESP owns Schecter.

well, the Agile AL3200 is something similar, but beyond what shecter is offering. with the exception of 22 frets, and non-locking tuners, agile has schecter beat in terms of features.
i mean, an insane neckthru:

and then there is also the Dean

so...if it said gibson, fender, prs or whatever, and was at the same price for the same features....would that be considered 'cheap'?

its expensive(or more expensive) than regular agiles coz regular agiles have features that can be compared to other companies and their products. this 3200 is a monster of its own. just try finding another guitar with its features.

also, normally, people spend 300ish dollars on a regular AL3000 with upgraded pickups and bridge and saddle and wiring, pots, nut etc...why bother when this guitar has it all aready?

I see your point. I'd just rather live with a regular 3k's neckjoint and have an extra 300 bucks in my pocket for upgrades of my own choosing.

yeah, but for most people who do upgrade their pickups, what pickups do they go for? duncun jb/59 or emg 81/85? this guitar is ready loaded with duncuns, so no need to upgrade them.

take the EC 1000 guitars. they go for 800ish on ebay and they dont even come close to the agile. i mean, agile has a much thicker mahognay, with ebony board, better nut, etc and 200ish dollars less. same goes for the schecter solo 6 which has the same features yet again, 200ish dollars more expensive than that of agile.

and a similar guitar by gibson, the les paul axxess goes for 4grand. if anything i see agile as a bargain.

granted, thsoe pickups may not be for everyone, but they are the industry standard and most popular pikcups. plus, the neck thru and cutaway/slupted neck joint is unique to only the Dean USA solteros for 3000ish or so, and then the gibson axxess(that dont have a neck sulpted like the 3200) for 4000
