Changing from hi gain head to combo...

Hey guys. I've got a Peavey JSX and the moment and a 2x12 with V30s in. Trouble is I'm getting bored of it really - I don't need to have such a big amp. So I'm looking at changing to a combo. I want something that's pretty versatile but can do hi gain stuff. I could buy a boost with another amp I guess, but if any of you have any suggestions about good single speaker combos I should look at trying let me know. Price range is up to 1000.

Though I have no idea of how much one of those would cost over there, the Mark IV combo is amazing.

And now there's a 1x12 combo version of the 6505 as well, if I'm not mistaken.

+1 on the Mark series, they're as badass as can be.

Keep in mind that the 1x12 combo's speaker will behave differently and have a different response especially if it's open back.

You can get a Mark IV for 1000 if you really look hard.

My mate just got an immaculate early B with flightcase for 900.
