Eh, its old news by now its hardly surprising any more... just today I was saying how the company won't just let the guy die.

I could imagine right now they are working on a way to zombify his remains and make him play more shows with their guitars.

You know that it's probably Dime's family who's authorizing all this ...., right? Dean is just the company that's been given the rights to produce it. You'd better believe that his family are continuing to live off Dime's name for as long as possible. (Not that it's a bad thing, but everyone is vilifying Dean for it, and the family is likely an equal partner.)

Yes, but as I've pointed out before, Dime's family is only authorizing the use of Dime's name and likeness. Dean makes horrible products and THEN slaps Dime's image all over them. The blatant milking of Dime's legacy would be so much less unsavory if it were a respectable company doing the milking in the first place - but then, most respectable companies would have more class.

Im sure Rita and Vinnie are the ones authorizing all of this. They are always with Dean guitars most of the time at the NAMM shows. I know for a fact Rita is trying to keep Krank amps from putting Dimes name on the amps that has his name or logo on it which is wierd because she didnt authrorize that. But he signed with Krank before he died and cameout with his sig. head. Now she is trying to put a stop to that.

Yes they are, to make money off a dead family member. Either way you stick it, the family should have some class and say no.

Yeah, it's really both Dean and Dime's family equally doing this. That makes it even worse in my eyes, because not only is Dean completely insulting Dime, Dime's family's allowing it

If they were asked about why some much of the Dime stuff the answer would be"This is what Dime would have wanted"... Shame Shame

If even they for some reason DIDN'T authorize it, you can sure bet that anyone else's family would be in court trying to stop it, at least.

I'm certainly not trying to argue that Dime's family is blameless.

Meanwhile at the Dean headquarters..

The Big Cheese: Recently due to our Razorback pricehike, introduction of excessive amounts of unbalanced and unwieldable dime signatures, and moving guitar production over to Ethiopia, we are no longer selling anymore Razorback lines.

Dean employee 1:
Damn! I thought they would never figure out if we put those "Made in Japan" stickers on the back of the necks!

Dean employee 2:
Why don't we start our own clothing line?

Dean employee 1: Yeah! We can plaster dime's face on it and put more shame to his name with crappy ass products, since that's our only selling point now that we have all our production models being made in third world countries!

The Big Cheese: Ingenious idea! PROMOTIONS EVERYONE!! GET READY CLOTHING INDUSTRY, HERE COMES DEAN GUITARS TO .... YOUR .... UP

Partially joking, of course. Who knows. I could be right.

Pretty soon, Dean will pull a Euronymous and start selling genuine™ Dime skull fragments and other bits that Rita and Vinnie have dug up to young metal-heads to prove that they're trve.

With they way that they're pandering that poor dead guy to anybody with a buck, they should just rename him "Metal Jesus" and start setting Dime crucifixes and Dime indulgences to get through purgatory faster.
