Metallica, Metallica... where did it all go wrong?

Oh dear. The artwork for "Death Magnetic" is revealed.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the sheer literalism of it all.

On a positive note, it's got to be a big to the lads for obviously saving money by not spending any on employing someone with any sort of creative talent to design the sleeve. It's so hard for such people to break into working in graphic design that any crumbs that can be thrown to them should be applauded.

Sorry, my sarcasm got the better of me there.

Heh, that rules.

Now I lay me down to sleep
Blah, blah, blah my soul to keep
If I die before I wake
I'll go to hell for heaven's sake

And the Photoshop hobbyists are already busy at work as we speak.

At first I thought it looked like a pencil sketch of a light switch superimposed over a fingerprint...

i'm with XV. i think it's alright, way better than that turd called St. Anger.

I'm actually kind of giving this album some hope as it was produced by Rick Rubin and everything that man touches is gold. thank god they got rid of that bob rock fag at last
