Not only is that lead playing horrific, but honestly the vocal work sounds like a ton of mess to me. Eck.

who cares if he can't play Dime's material perfectly... Dave isn't even close to being one of my favorite lead players, but he's come up with pretty good stuff through the years, and can play his own leads fine live.

i don't judge guitarists based on how well they can play a Dimbag solo .

i totally think the instrumental band from DT nailed this tune. I feel like LaBrie and Mustaine kinda marred the overall performance. What a badass tune. I'm gonna go listen to the original now

You know, I'm no Mustaine fanboy, but I'm getting pretty tired on everyone beating on him because of this one solo. Maybe he was just having a bad day, you know? Everyone totally blows a solo every once in a while - Dave just had the misfortune to do it while filming for a DVD.

I mean, look at other live Megadeth stuff - Mustaine usually plays his leads just fine.

The whole performance is ....?? How? Petrucci plays this just as well, if not better, than Dime himself...as does Portnoy in regards to Vinnie Paul. Labrie and Allen also do a great job, the Fear Factory dude has never had a good voice live though

Dave is not the worst lead player ever (he's certainly not the best either mind!), but this was a bad performance, sure.

I preferred that to the original (but then again I don't like Pantera). I think Dave Mustaine was all like "LOL OH HAI GAIS!!! WUTS GOIN ON OVR ERE?!?!?!?11"

He must've been really really drunk to play that badly...

I'm not sure what's worse...the playing or the self-reassured headbanging while he's ....ing up over and over again. But Edroz is right people, you shouldn't judge a player by how well he plays other people's works. I know I find it easier to play really technical riffs and leads when I write them. Furthermore, you guys know full well that Mustaine CAN play. In fact, I've never heard of him claiming to be a great lead player...he's a singer-guitar-player, give him a break.

It's pretty funny that this noob logs in here, calls mustaine a noob, then proceeds to .... up embedding videos several times in a row, all for a video that's been posted and discussed on here 20 times already.
