NGD: Carvin DC7X - Love it.

Not a lot of "wow" really, no fancy quilt or flame or paint. Just all raw woods with the lightest mist of satin. Feels so good you just want to run your hands all over it ha. It smells good too! I apologize for the poor photos. Will post sound clips someday, I need to learn how to prog drums. My riffin' just sounds kinda weird without the drums and bass in there too lol. Not that anyone would like it any better then...

Just as ordered except they did not string it up with the string set I mailed them [Ernie Ball 8 string set minus the .74] It was in the case though so I'll restring it [don't care for Elixir or any other coated strings] when I drill the holes for the coil taps and 3 way blade.

I ordered it with the push-pull volume only because I like where the volume control is stock but not the coil taps and 3 way blade. Easy solution and happy Carvin let me do it that way.

Without question I can tell this is my new favorite guitar. I don't have a big collection, a Loomis, a S7G 27.5" scale that I got in early 2010 and is an awesome guitar, an LTD Viper 7 and a six and seven string acoustic. I am trying to get Carvin to build us a symmetrical V7X. If they won't then I will order a DC7X neck from their parts page when available and build one myself ha. I would far prefer Carvin build it as this DC7X is just immaculate from top to bottom...

Thats one of the hottest spec'd Carvins Ive ever seen. It must sound amazing in the mids and supremely tight low end. It looks awesome too!

Haha, you're kidding right? Didn't you see those pictures you posted? Theres alot of WOW there.

Super nice man, I think alot of people would loose their minds if they included striped ebony as a top option.

Thanks much amigos

I know some of you have some pretty sweet guitars so I am glad you like it too. It resonates really nicely unplugged and sounds awesome through a small amp so far. I sold my house not too long ago and living in an apartment for the first time in a long time. I am afraid to crank it up thru the 4x12 and give it some wings ha. The police station is only a block away, the donut shop much farther lol. Guess I need to maintain till I find a new home/man cave. I do know it is going to sing/scream/wail/whisper with the best of them.

Carvin fawking rocks

So do all youz guyz giving me constant G.A.S. and leading me to order things like this when I should be putting the cash towards a new house haha. Don't ever change though

Looks sick...You beat me to the black limba lol..I thought I'd be one of the first to pop out a carvin black limba ngd. This is one of the coolest spec'd out carvins I've seen. Makes me extremely excited to see how mine turns out.

HNGD!

Do you see?

Dude. I'm going to be afraid to post my NGD with the fear that it's already been upstaged by yours and is going to get lost in the crowd of people flocking to see Her Majesty.

This is a really sweet axe, and I can't believe that was less than 2000. How much did the woods you supplied cost you?

Edit : the TAM100 has nothing on the neck of your DC7X.

Oh, ...., son. You went hard as hell. Looks amazing. Gold hardware on it would have been awesome. Happy NGD, bud.

Holy CROW! I love it. You basically took the guitar I bought from Carvin, which I totally love, and bumped it up with bling and options in every possible way! Awesome!

That striped ebony... omg.

So are your pickups both always on? Oh wait, push-pull knob. Ok.

Wow man, this guitar just looks amazing.

Very cool, man, very, very cool! I love the choice of wood - the striped ebony top looks stunning. Nice touch to see it on the back as well. How is the weight? Is that a tung oil finish or satin? Considering the black limba as a top wood on my next Carvin build. Still very happy with my own DC7X. Happy NGD!
best regards,
Dave
