I like Zakk Wylde

Fairly unpopular opinion.

Depends on who you ask --

So I say to one guy "I like Slayer."
"Dude! Sla-yerrrrrrr!"
"Yeah, I dont like Motley Crue."
"Whaaaaa?"

So I say to another "I like The Sound of Music. "
"Oh that is such a wonderful musical! "
"Yeah, I like Slayer too."
"Whaaaaa?"

Hmm...

I am not a fan of the way that Bulb mixes. It's something that I got over to enjoy AAL, but it was all over the first Periphery album and it caused me to just not like it much at all. I mean, he is definitely talented, but there's something about his production style that I don't like.

I hate how the term progressive is thrown around....

Go listen to tales from topographic oceans

I don't think that we ever thought of it as the equivalent of music, as the end-goal was to buy more in-game slut clothes-- schecterwhore on rock band

Im a super chill mellow ambient slut. --7 STRINGS OF HATE

Unpopular here? I frankly thinks djent as a whole blows, and I have a great trouble to differentiate between the millions of bands that has cropped up playing djent (and all of them are apparently incredibly original in their own opinion). And I cannot for my life figure out the hype, it's not like this is something new.
I personally cannot wait until this fad blows over, and that the next one is something I appreciate.

Also that Nickelback has some really solid riffing, it's mainly when Chad starts to sing I turn the music off.

Yeah this ties in directly with my reason for disliking a lot of newer "djent" bands. Like really....breakdowns all choppy doesn't make you prog.

This is more geared towards guitar equipment:

I think actives sound better then passives in most cases.
I think solid state amps sound better then tube amps.

I still listen to Limp Bizkit, I dig Slipknot, and I sing along to Linkin Park.

Also, .... Ryan Adams, whiney little pseudo-cowboy .............

You know, I'm not going to hate or target you for neg. rep. if you leave your name. I'm sure I can find plenty of other reasons to hate

Stop calling it detuned. It's tuned, just not to standard. It's not a ....ing DeVries.

Guns'n'Roses are almost as laughable as Nirvana...

Scar Symmetry are very bad. Too bad for the ultratalented Per Nilsson.

Shows like American idol have decent singers once a while.

"When Dream and Day unite" was by far the best Dream Theater album.

The term "progressive metal" is used in an extremely laughable way these days... (tired of reading "listen to my new progressive metal song..." tchk 1001001011100 tchk tchk 1001010101... yawn)
