.... yeah new Dying Fetus

History Repeats wasn't a bad album, but it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for when they announced it, and now this!

Damn it... I've known about the song clips for a couple of weeks, but I didn't think they were stand-alone thread material.

That teaser on the other hand...

"It's spelled Raymond Luxury-Yacht, but it's pronounced Throatwobbler Mangrove"
"He didn't talk to you about how Rockabilly is the Klezmer Music of the red states?"

Chilling in my Dying Fetus trainer.

This version is better than the first bootleg I've heard.
Really looking forward to the album.

I truly do not see how everyone is so impressed with this. Yes I mean playing live is going to most of the time not equal what has been done in the studio but man this video is depressing.

That video isn't great, but if you've ever seen Dying Fetus on stage yourself, you'd agree it's a great experience and they're top-notch performers. They're super tight and have tones worked out nicely. Also, keep in mind that at this point in time, the band is a three-piece death metal band with guitar sounds to rival anybody out there, using a 200-300 dollar solid state.

Tbh I don't know what to think of this song, I dig the riffs but not the whole song structure.

About Dying Fetus, saying that they are one of the worst DM bands is a little bit ignorant. The have their own sound and have variety between fast and grinding riffs and slamming brutal riffs, and they sure groove as hell.

You must unlearn what you have learned.

so much groove - in a live setting they have these hardcore/breakdown style riffs that make it IMPOSSIBLE not to move!

Nah, even killing on adrenaline and destroy the opposition were just fourth rate internal bleeding/pyrexia worship with some siqq sweeps added in between the slams without any actual riffs to form some kind of basis for their songs. Calling me an idiot anonymously won't disprove me either. Jump da .... up bros

^You sound like Mike Smith of Suffocation, all butthurt over the fact that while they were once innovators, they've fallen way behind the curve. Dying Fetus has BEEN taking massive dumps on those bands.

Quit trolling this thread and go make a pyrexia/internal bleeding thread if you love them so much.

Internal Bleeding and Dying Fetus came out around the same time, had the same influences, even played the same shows, along with the entire genre of BDM that has followed. Dying Fetus has their thing, and no band in BDM sounds quite like them.

I always grow another set of balls when listening to Fetus, amazing band, and very amazing live......I only saw them once with Necrophagist and Cannibal, and they stole the show...can't wait to see them again

Some people like some music, some people don't. This isn't a new thing. Let's chill everyone.

I recently got into Dying Fetus. Prefer their more recent stuff (I tend to with death metal bands). The riffs are awesome and I love their vocals.

I'm no more trolling this thread than you are by saying they they take dumps all over pyrexia or internal bleeding. I don't even like those bands, I was just using them as an example, they're just as bad IMO.

Eh, I could say the same exact thing about bands like Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, All That Remains, etc. Bands that had the same influences, started at around the same time, played the same shows. I don't even know what you're trying to say with this. You also contradicted yourself by saying that those BDM bands have the same influences yet sound nothing alike.

There's a ....ton of BDM bands that sound very much like dying fetus, pyrexia and internal bleeding being the in flames/at the gates to their metalcore. Check this out bro:

Again, I'm not trolling at all, just simply stating my opinions on a matter I actually care about. You don't see me interjecting in the Periphery/BoO/any djent thread because I don't care enough to. Feel free to add more red to my user CP, ....'s starting to look way too green for me

Point taken. I have never really listened to these guys ever since getting into harder metal but right now listening to samples off their "Descend into Depravity" I am getting goosebumps listening to their guitar tone...it has a vicious sound for sure. What the heck I'll add this album to my collection as well.
I may not like all of it but honestly finding an album that is flawless from beginning to end is a rare thing.
