The NOTHING BEATS it thread...

Ok fun thread, list your favorite moments in music I will go first with a couple

Nothing beats it when the neighbors downstairs leave the house and you can really crank the .... out of your amp.

Nothing beats the UPS/FedEX/USPS truck pulling up your driveway on new gear day..

Nothing beats when you hear new things in music you have been listening to for a long time.

Nothing beats when you nail a disgusting solo/riff.

nothing beats finding that tone you've been chasing your whole life, hypothetically. if it were possible.

nothing beats finding an awesome deal on a piece of gear you've been gassing for for a looong time.

Nothing beats when you sit down to play a riff and end up with 10 riffs that flow into each other and...you remember them ALL!!!

Nothing beats sitting down with all new midi gear, hook it all up and it all works seamlessly with no effort.

and nothing beats a NGD or NAD.

Nothing beats it when you put in new pups with some crazy ass wiring and it works on the first try.

...As if that ever happens.

Nothing beats it when you're jammin' with someone else and there's such a great vibe the music just flows forth into something awesome. That unique ecstasy of making music.

Nothing beats shredding the .... out of a hot-shot after quietly pretending to be impressed with his chops.

Nothing beats finding an Ibanez in a pawn shop or craigslist for a dirt cheap price because they don't know what it is....when its actually an MIJ with upgraded pickups. Hell yeah.

Nothing beats finally finding a bad cable in a tricky pedalboard.

Nothing beats cranking a tube amp of your choice and feeling your balls rumble.

'Nothing beats...' - Studio Edition by Ironbird

Nothing beats nailing the right rhythm and lead tones within a minute of stepping into the studio!

Nothing beats pulling off a solo in the studio with 6 people watching!

and...

Nothing beats one takes!

Leave no stone unturned until I'm done.

Nothing beats nailing that riff you've had stuck in your head.

Also nothing beats figuring out part of a song by ear and getting it spot on.

Nothing beats that just cleaned/oiled/polished/new string feeling of one of your guitars. Totally worth all of the effort.

Nothing beats a NAD/NGD but the checking accounts say otherwise lol

Nothing beats recording a riff that you then play back and sit there thinking ".... me that's ....ing awesome"

Nothing beats listening back to an album and enjoying it as much as you did the first time

Nothing beats that feeling where you realise your playing has suddenly got better

Nothing beats when I stop obsessing over stupid tonal nuances that no one can really hear and just play.

Nothing beats getting that message that you won your eBay auction.

Nothing beats cutting on a boost and hearing your tone tighten up like a waistband.

Nothing beats recording three takes in the studio, and they ALL sound awesome.

Nothing beats plugging an RP500 into an recording interface and it sounds half-way decent.

Last but not least, nothing beats recording with Pro-Tools.

Praise and worship is a gig too!
