Lol! Dude how did you miss this one? Nah seriously it was pickup in England only...gave me a cutting edge even though I'm from Ireland. Sure you already own one of THE most iconic Daemoness guitars to date....with more to follow by all accounts. I'll keep you in mind with the rest of the guys that have already called dibs on this but this guitar WILL be going back to Daemoness HQ first....I think that's only right.....the 'Nine' have already been dispatched from Minas Morgul to return it to it's rightful master. ;-)

Nice man, I did the old Mrk1 eyeball, saw your name and thought that was yours. Any updates on your actual build? Congrats on the score nonetheless.

Posting this as a heads up for guys from outside the EU who have ordered or a thinking of ordering a Daemoness. New Cites laws which came in on January 2nd this year will restrict some types of woods, namely Rosewood, Bubinga and Cocobolo from being traded outside an single country or the EU as a whole.

Of course with the UK leaving the EU at some point this will throw another spanner in the works.

Here's a recent blog from UK guitar shop Anderton's:

you guys will have some time to let your concepts simmer properly in your heads. make sure it's something that truly means to you. and of course, when the time is ripe, Dylan will handle the spices and seasoning.

This. I think that a wait time of two years should almost be mandatory, in order to properly distill your ideas so that you're totally committed to what you want. I doubt I would put nearly as much effort into any other CS instrument. Getting a Daemoness is commissioning a piece of art just as much as it is an instrument.

Agreed completely, I feel like Daemoness instruments could be held in the same regard as a Stradivari someday. Having said that, I'd like to explore some possibilities and see if they're worth simmering over for potentially 2+ years.

While a few concepts have floated around my head the most concrete idea centers around the Native American mythology of the Wendigo / Wendigo Psychosis, traditionally referred to as a cannibalistic spirit that preys on the desperation of starving men and turns them into ravenous cannibals. I like the visual aesthetic of the frigid tundra and the fact that the Wendigo is sort of an exclusively Canadian / North American bit of folklore. Their ties to the North and the representation of the concepts of famine and greed is something I could see Dylan working with wonderfully. Physically speaking, I was thinking of a mix of the Gibson RD and Ibanez Stoneman shape, with a buckeye burl top with some interesting / almost mountain-like figuring with greys and blues - very muted. I'd leave the rest to Dylan

Any thoughts and input / critique is always welcomed.

cool idea. ever watch the film ravenous? it's about cannibals and the wendigo. would be cool to see dylan's take on those ideas.

Dude, I dig it for sure! I'm guessing there is going to be a lot of leeway for artistic liberties (A quick google brought up a bunch of different versions, but all of them look eerie as hell). Sounds solid!

6 years now?

Let me try this game: Man, I wish I had enough money to spend 2500-8000 GBP on a guitar

Dunno, I've read some posts lately of people who wait almost 7 years for a build and they just got now their guitar. What is the average waiting time actually?

In 3 years I could save the 5000 it would cost (I hope...)

I have a purple one.

Wait wait wait, who's waited almost seven years for a build? I've heard of four years, longest... Not bashing, just genuinely interested in where you're getting this from.

Wait list times will be coming down after the process was looked at and
the order book reopened.

No worries, you are right. I checked. It was a KxK, not daemoness.
