True, but that was the only 7 string locking trem at the time it was made. They were damn expensive, too. However, it's definitely better than the Takeguchi crap they started using later...

I think DiMarzios might have been the only game in town back then, as well. Duncan was a bit late to the 7-string party.

My star 7 is 4 months newer than the DW, and I got EMG 707s in it, but I know for certain that Duncans were an option.
