Looks to be the Cosmo black finished Edge Pro 7.

I had that hardware finish on one of my RG6s and my acidic sweat wore it away! It looked pretty cool after a while because it started to turn a shiny bronze.

So basically, you're the first to touch the guitar after it has been assembled by the dudes over in (Japan?). Set ups are generally subjective and everyone has different preferences, so you kinda have to set it up on your own.

I don't rely on getting setups from shops because 1. they generally cost a lot of money, and if you need to get the guitar setup when you get it, that will add on to the overall price of the guitar you bought. 2. your not the one setting up the guitar, so you can't fine tune things such as a slight action adjust or small trem angle adjustments. Of couse, if you know how to do these yourself then it doesn't matter. I think it should be a pretty necesary step in learning the guitar.

Of course, you might know how to setup a guitar, and just want the shop to save you time, I don't know. Just some thoughts.
A. I didn't have any expectations of Music123 setting up my guitar. I'm well aware of their function in the chain of events. That being said, I have never received a guitar in this condition before. In fact, my first Ibanez was orderd from Music Emporium back in 1990 and It played like a champ out of the box. It still needed some tweaking, but it was pretty much there.

B. The purpose of my post was to simply to congratulate 777 and get an answer to my question.

C. Minor tweaking I can do. However, fully setting up a guitar is time consuming, tedious, and generally irritating. I doesn't cost me a whole lot to have my guy do it, and he knows exactly what my specifications are (action height, trem, etc). Saves me the bother.

At any rate, this is not the purpose of the thread. So let's get back to congratulating 777 on his beautiful guitar.

Why? To differentiate from, for example, the RG1527GK (my guitar, in Galaxy Black). Royal Blue is not the only color 1527s come in.

Awesome, dude. That feeling is the coolest thing in the world. I'm not much for material things, but guitars are a notable exception. Congrats!
Your case is different? I thought those were the only kinds of cases they came in. Mine looks EXACTLY like that. Same colors, same shapes, same text, same everything.

I'll agree that it's a nice case, though. A little heavy to carry around, but not much you can do about that.

Yep. My 2027 came in the UV1000 case. Looks like this -
The front is like plain tolex (I think?), black, with the name 'Ibanez' painted on it. Also a nice case, but I think the 1527 case is a bit nicer, don't you?

Agreed on the heavy thang. I usually use a Musician's Friend gig bag to carry my Ibanez back-and-forth to Rick's house/elsewhere I play. Lighter, more convenient.
