I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams. |

Congratulations, 777. They are very beautiful guitars, indeed. However, I'm curious to know how the set up on yours was when you received it. Mine was shitty. The action was jacked into the stratosphere the bridge wasn't paralell to the body, it just plays like ass. I'm very partiucular about how my guitars are setup, and I planned on having this set up to my specs within a couple of months, anyway. But I have yet to ever receive a guitar in such poor playing condition that I had to immediately take that step. And that's without getting into the lame-assed stock pickups.
Truthfully, I am undecided as to whether I'm going go through the bother of having a setup done, or just send it back and wait another month or two to get a Petrucci 7 to go with my 6. I guess I'm just spoiled by Ernie Balls stellar craftsmanship, and attention to detail. |

I don't rely on getting setups from shops because 1. they generally cost a lot of money, and if you need to get the guitar setup when you get it, that will add on to the overall price of the guitar you bought. 2. your not the one setting up the guitar, so you can't fine tune things such as a slight action adjust or small trem angle adjustments. Of couse, if you know how to do these yourself then it doesn't matter. I think it should be a pretty necesary step in learning the guitar. Of course, you might know how to setup a guitar, and just want the shop to save you time, I don't know. Just some thoughts. |

Chris! We need a "Splooge" smiley icon for this sort of shit. God damn that is classy! Is the trem black chrome, like the old LOPRO?
Congrats! ~A
