Superstrat idea...
i drew this up based on the things a friend of mine has told me in the past about what he'd want in a guitar... he likes smaller guitars, so something not quite as big as his UV777BK is what he's looking for... he also had a problem with hitting the lower horn on the UV when he was playing in the upper registers, don't ask me how, i can't figure it out, i've never had that issue... and i wanted to incorporate the thinner waist my guitar designs have seemed to have so far into this... i'm also a fan of the SG's bevels... and i wanted fret access to be superb, so the body meets the neck on the lower horn between the 23rd and 24th fret... heres the idea
![]() and yes, this is a 7 string idea... the actual drawing has everything laid out, headstock, frets, strings, string spacing at the bridge, pots and switches, the nut, the tuners, etc... i think the designs i make are always going to be 7 string based from now on, as i want that to be my main focus. uh and the selector switch looks so small lol... i drew it in after i had already copied the full size to half size haha |

thats a killer design man, it would look sick with a 2-tone color design for the cutaways.

Design's a little too evil for my tastes, but it'd look damn slick in an oiled finish.

No comfort curve!?
(inside joke)Anway, nice design man. My only concern, would be if the upper horn is too sharp to hold the screw for the strap. |

no not really, its only an inch to an inch and a half back from where it would be on the tip of the horn... and if someone opted for locking sperzels the thing is gonna be neck heavy anyways
look at my first guitar, i just tried the strap on it, and its way neck heavy ![]() |
