I've been trying to get my hands on a C-7 Blackjack or any shecter sevenstring for a while now... I dont think im gana bother anymore they seem like the biggest C*NT in the world to get in australia. Ive called about three or four dealers and they all give me differnt storys...

Store number one told me they have a blackjack comming into AUS in about a week, and it will take another week pluss 2 or 3 days to set it up ect. This will cost me about 1500 bucks without a case or any freebies.

Bmusic.com.au which advertises it for 1300 litterally told me that thats bullsh*t and if there was one comming theyd know about it, and that they have been trying to get schecters for almost a year already. He seemed the most sensier out of them all and also said the people who bring schecters here are really unreliable and crap. They also didnt give me an updated price.

Im waiting to hear from store number 3 but they all deal with the same distributer so i dont expect them to be any better.

Ive almost given up, I REALLY want a schecter but it seems almost impossible to get one down here.

Any aussies here that actually own a 7 string schecter guitar? I'd like to hear how you managed to get yours you bastards .

Looks like ill have to go with an ibanez, or just spend my 2 grand on a nice amp .

What would you guys do in this situation?

You could always buy one on eBay or something. That being said, if I was new to 7-strings I'd go with an Ibanez first since their necks are a lot thinner and make an easier transition from 6-strings. Otherwise, I dunno. There's a lot of aussies on here who could probably help you better.

I keep checking ebay I havent seen one before.

Im not a huge fan of the thin necks either, but yeah I MIGHT go with an ibanez... But I also just might buy a sweet amp.

i as going to get a schecter, the Omen-7 cause its damn cheap. I searched for ages, every store in the vecinity of 100kms of me. nothing. noone stocked them, only this one place about 2 hours away from me. but they would only get one, if i put the money down and i had to take it, and it was going to be like 5 months or someting stupid. i went for the ibanez 7321, whihc is not a bad guitar, just the pups suck. do a bit more reaserch dude, you should be able to get a C-7 Blackjack $1,269 (http://www.guitar.com.au/guitars/ele...cter/index.htm) but it could take a bit of work

id agree with you nick, ibanez necks are better for the change, and the schecters are that well priced.

thats ironic beacuse the closest store to me has an omen 7 . Im not really interested in it though... sinse I alreaddy play a guitar with emg's and I dont want to down grade... Even for that seventh string, my guitar alreaddy sounds cool in low tunings anyway. Also i dont really want to shell out the money for pickups aswell, sinse there about 230 bucks here

what guitar do you cureently have?
and which pups are $230?

I know they dont have many thats what I was saying... I live in melbourne and EMGS are 230 bucks in a store, mine were 250 for the zakk wylde set in my current ibanez off ebay which was pretty good though. I might just spend my money on a good rig, but im really not that satisfied with my guitar... can it wait!!! >???

i guess it can wait, but if you have a crap guitar you have a crap sound. thats how it works but if you have an ibanez with emgs, your amp would be the problem. if i were you, id get a 7321. iv been in your exact position, and i went with the 7321, best choice i could have made, they are great for the price, and if waiting for a schector is an issue, you can get a 7321 from allans music melboure within a few weeks

YES do it dude, you wont find many 7's cheaper than that
