ESP's 7-string bodies are the same size, I know that much. I don't see why other manufacturers would change their body size either.

I just got my neck and body in. The neck is MUCH wider so the slot you place the neck in on the body is obviously woder as well. The body, other than that looks like it's the same size as a 6'er

The body itself doesn't need to be any bigger. Just the cavities like the neck pocket, pickup cavities, and bridge. With ibanez, the bodies are no bigger.

POOF!

^^^^^^Yeah he right. I had an RG7620, and I still have the remains of my RG550. The bodies are the same size. Somewher around here there are pics of the new RG8, and it's body looks to be about the same size too.

From my experience with 7's I've yet to find one that has a bigger body than it's 6 string counterparts. It's in the manufacturers interests to keep the body sizes the same, as the 6's were designed with certain ergonomics in mind and generally work well. As their customer base is used to playing a guitar that size with the kind of feel they're not going to want a bigger bodied guitar.
